Several months ago, while on my regular Sunday morning walk, I stumbled upon a close out sale in Beverly Hills. I could see this amazing Men’s Sable Fur Coat hanging on the wall from the window. I reached quickly for the jacket after floating from the front door to the scene of the crime to be. Without even asking, I reached up high and removed the coat. I put it on and I was just in heaven. I confess, I love furry things. Its design had a look similar to one I recently made into a set of pillows. For those of you who don’t know, this is what you do with a really expensive gift you no longer want. You make it in to something useful. After wearing it in the store for about 45 minutes and haggling with the storeowner, it was clear she was giving in and there was little she could do to get me out of it other than selling it to me at my proposed price. I successfully acquired my fabulous fur and began to plan a trip some place cold enough just so I could wear it. I could envision walking in the Grand Lobby of a Swiss Ski Lodge being the envy of everyone there. Little did I know I’d have an opportunity to wear it in sunny Southern California.
